Session Overview
As companies increasingly recognize the importance of aligning the Diversity and Inclusion Office with the company's strategic business performance, it is the Chief Diversity Officer who is positioned to lead the company's business units in achieving this goal.
Consider the skill set and breadth of experience required for the CDO position -- possessing strong business acumen, knowledge of other functional areas of the company, and the ability to assimilate readily the business needs of each officer and assure that each recommendation is aligned with the strategic goals of the business. Moreover, many CDO roles in recent years have also added Global responsibilities as a critical component of their job function in order to ensure that company-wide diversity and inclusion policies are consistent worldwide.
In this Best Practices Session, 3-5 Chief Diversity Officers will present their strategic diversity plans. These plans will showcase their overall business plan for diversity and inclusion as well as measurement and bonus systems, effective utilization of diversity councils and employee resource groups to impact the business bottom-line, strategies for implementing diversity and inclusion throughout different countries, and the creation of holistic diversity strategies that can be ingrained in all business units and throughout the leadership.
