In November 2011, Diversity Best Practices, Working Mother Media and the International-Association for Female Executives held a week of conferences in Shanghai, China, addressing topics on global diversity & inclusion, women’s advancement and women executives/entrepreneurs building their business.

Join us for a one-of-a-kind experience, as we invite some of our Diversity Best Practices members who attended the Global Best Practice Session to share their experiences. Speakers will offer their personal insights, and share potential strategies and tactics for sustaining diversity and inclusion initiatives within and beyond China’s borders. They will describe what they learned about China, giving new ways of thinking about diversity and inclusion challenges within Shanghai and China; and, they will share the pressing issues facing multinationals and Chinese companies as they seek to play effectively on a global stage. Global members joining us for this conference call can engage in innovative discussions with fellow global diversity practitioners from a variety of industries, and likely will come away with new ideas and fresh approaches to their own diversity and inclusion challenges.

Our themes for this discussion: What does Diversity and Inclusion mean in China and the rest of Asia? How can addressing diversity and inclusion help companies win the war for talent and increase their market share in increasingly diverse local and global economies?

We’ll also examine:
- Improving cross-cultural competency
- Recruiting and retention
- Developing a leadership talent pool
- Gaining senior and mid-management buy-in and support
- Work life balance and flexibility

Join us, and share perspectives and insights with your fellow Diversity & Inclusion practitioners.
