More companies are becoming aware that engaging and actively maintaining a supplier diversity program benefits their bottom line and improves their overall public image. These diverse suppliers provide the company with access to emerging markets within the U.S., while helping to build the community that they serve. Minority and women-owned businesses have been at the forefront of many supplier diversity programs, but now, businesses owned by traditionally underrepresented groups such as veterans, LGBT people and people with disabilities have been able to successfully compete to win contracts from larger companies. Given the current economy with massive budget cuts and lay-offs, many businesses - small and large - are struggling just to keep their doors open. What innovative strategies are companies implementing that will continue the success and growth of the supplier diversity programs? What are the diverse suppliers doing to sustain and grow their businesses and relationships with larger companies?

Some of the topics that will be addressed include:
- How companies work with diverse suppliers on solutions for better business
- How working with diverse suppliers in the down economy can grow business
- What companies are doing to make their supplier diversity programs a part of the corporate culture
- How to adjust practices and relationships to better meet supplier diversity goals

In addition, International Paper will talk about their processes to position supplier diversity to add more value to the company, as well as how they're getting leadership levels engaged. USBLN will discuss how the organization is working to grow their partnership with existing corporations and the ways they're helping businesses grow and become certified. HP will explain three primary drivers to their successful Supplier Diversity program and the different ways in which they help their diverse suppliers grow.

These are only some of the topics that will be addressed during this highly informative 90-minute webseminar. Join top diversity professionals as they share best practices and current trends in supplier diversity, and brainstorm innovative strategies for maintaining successful supplier diversity programs in this economy.
