Now in its fourth year, NALC is the only conference in the country focused on training ERG leaders to align with the business goals of their organizations. Approximately 400 network and affinity group leaders from over 70 corporations in all industry sectors came together to share best practices and discover ways to increase their business value. Attendees examined case studies on how ERGs contribute to sales, marketing, product development, recruitment and talent management efforts that help their companies remain competitive.

Jennifer Brown Consulting, a diversity and leadership consulting firm, has developed a comprehensive study to help companies assess the readiness of their Employee Resource Groups to help drive business and impact bottom-line business goals. Leading up to 2010 NALC, they invited companies to participate in this survey in order to benchmark the results and provide feedback to participating companies at the conference. The data provided in this report is an aggregation of the information provided in the survey from the 42 companies that participated in the survey.

DBP and NALC are proud to announce the NALC Social Media Engagement Workshop, to be held in conjunction with NALC. This experiential learning exercise will begin with a half-day workshop held the day before the national meeting. Participants will learn about social media engagement via hands-on training using Twitter, Flip Video Camcorders, and other techniques. They will then have the chance to practice what they learn by recording their experiences at NALC on the Flip Video Camcorders and distributing what they capture via social media channels. They will be able to share NALC with colleagues back at the office, and their videos will premiere on the NALC website one week after the event. Participants will continue to use newfound social media skills to engage clients/customers and strengthen their brands long after NALC has ended.
