Q. How can my company fully participate in the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Summit & Gala? A. There are many options for companies to become involved in Summit & Gala:
Q. What is the Diversity Best Practices CEO Initiative? A. Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) set the corporate agenda and drive results. CEOs recognize the business imperative of reaching diverse consumers, clients, employees, suppliers, and investors. CEOs are the key to fulfilling diversity and inclusion goals for any organization. Our high-level CEO Initiative is now more than six years old. The founding Chairman was former chairman of Shell Oil, Steve Miller. He has passed the baton to corporate heavyweights such as former Eastman Kodak Co. Chairman & CEO Dan Karp, Barry Salzberg, CEO of Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, and now our incoming Chairman Antonio Perez, CEO & Chairman of Kodak. We are grateful to all the CEOs of our member companies who are dedicated to weaving diversity and inclusion into the fabric of leadership in today’s business world. Diversity Best Practices Five-Point CEO Initiative includes:
Q. What can I expect at a Diverstiy Best Practices Session? A. Diversity Best Practices (DBP) holds four one-day Best Practices Sessions each year (one per quarter). These sessions are hosted by DBP member companies and are free to all of our DBP members. Each Best Practices Session is devoted to a significant topic or issue which diversity professionals face in their important roles. At each session, attendees hear four to five presentations from DBP member leaders in an interactive setting which fosters the sharing of best practices from both speakers and attendees.
Q. What can I expect on a Diversity Best Practices Conference Call? A. Diversity Best Practices hosts conference calls throughout the year on pertinent topics related to the roles and responsibilities of diversity professionals. Held approximately every two months, these conference calls are free to DBP members and serve as an instrument for powerful information sharing. Each call features two to three experts who share their best practices with attendees. At the end of each presentation, the host opens a Q&A session and invites attendees to ask questions. These calls offer a dynamic opportunity for DBP members to engage in dialogue and serve to advance member knowledge on best practices in building an impactful diversity and inclusion corporate initiative.
