2010/11 CEO Diversity Leadership Award Call for Nominations
Nomination Deadline: September 15, 2010
Today’s CEOs face the daunting task of responding to colossal shifts in the business, political, and cultural landscapes. Even with extraordinary responsibilities and full agendas, the most effective CEOs never let diversity and inclusion take a back seat to other key business imperatives. These CEOs are mentors, cheerleaders, stewards of ethical business practices, and proponents of advancing opportunity for all.
The Diversity Best Practices CEO Diversity Leadership Awards are presented annually to those companies that demonstrate outstanding corporate initiatives in diversity. The awards are accepted by the CEOs of these exceptional companies, who are the champions of leadership and diversity within their organizations. These honorees serve as visionaries, with exemplary leadership traits that make them role models within their companies as well as in their communities at large.
The CEO honorees will be recognized at the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Summit & Gala, in Spring 2011.
SELECTION CRITERIA
To nominate your company and your CEO, please download and complete this assessment form. The form has two components; one component is to be completed by the Chief Diversity Officer (or equivalent) and the second by the Chief Executive Officer. Please submit any additional documents that support your initiatives, i.e. annual report, biography of your CEO, etc.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
All Fortune 1,000 companies are invited to submit their nomination. You do not need to be a member of DBP and/or its affiliates to join the nominations process. Nominators must complete the attached form and any supporting material. Please return the completed forms to Senamaud@diversitybestpractices.com.
If you have any questions please contact Sigrid Senamaud at 202-340-9233. DBP will accept electronic submissions. Nominations must be submitted by September 15, 2010. Please plan ahead as applications submitted past the deadline will not be accepted.
TIMELINE
June 2010: Award Nomination Process Opens
September 15, 2010: Nomination Period Closes – all applications due
September 21 - October 5, 2010: Awards Committee Reviews
October 12: Honorees announced
Honorees will be recognized at the 17th Annual Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Gala, in Spring 2011.
LEVEL OF RECOGNITION AND AWARDS PRESENTATION
Recipients of the 2010 CEO Diversity Leadership Awards are entitled to receive the following:
- Participation in the forum with all recipient honorees
- Receipt of the award, with a stage presence of 2 minutes
- Company and CEO mention in all press releases
- Company and CEO listing in Diversity Leadership Awards Gala marketing materials, i.e. announcement ad, e-newsletter, award dinner invitations etc. (electronic and print)
- One page honoree profile in the program
- Attendance at the Diversity Leadership Awards Gala Dinner – plus one guest
