Angela Johnson Meadows is content director at Diversity Best Practices. In this role, she directs the strategy, planning, and development of content across all of Diversity Best Practices' print and online publications and conferences and events.
Prior to joining Diversity Best Practices, Angela was manager of diversity programs at the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's). Under her leadership, the organization’s cornerstone diversity initiative, the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program, grew by 50 percent in both student and advertising agency participation. In addition, Angela created various communications vehicles, including websites, e-mail newsletters and social networking communities, to promote the 4A’s diversity programs, and served as the staff representative for the 4A’s Diversity Committee.
As a writer and editor for several publications, including DiversityInc and Marketing to the Emerging Majorities, Angela has covered a host of diversity, professional development, and multicultural marketing issues. Her insights have been quoted in college textbooks and publications including The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, New York Daily News and Forbes.
Angela holds a certificate in diversity management from Cornell University. She also has a master’s degree in media studies and Africana studies from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Florida A&M University.
