Anton Nikodemus

President and Chief Operating Officer / Monte Carlo ,  

Anton Nikodemus is President and Chief Operating Officer for Monte Carlo, a AAA Four Diamond resort.  He is responsible for all operations at the 2,992-room hotel and casino. 

Nikodemus was instrumental in the development, design and opening of HOTEL32, an exclusive 50-room boutique hotel located on the property’s top floor.  Nikodemus also oversaw an exciting transformation of the resort’s dining choices including the debut of d.vino Italian Food & Wine Bar, BRAND Steakhouse and Diablo’s Cantina; and the contemporary redesigns of Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge, The Pub and Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar. 

Nikodemus has infused the resort with a dynamic new level of must-see entertainment.  In summer 2009, Nikodemus successfully negotiated a six-year contract extension with Master Magician Lance Burton and brokered partnerships to bring Las Vegas music sensation Zowie Bowie and comedian/impressionist Frank Caliendo to Monte Carlo.  He also is leading a revitalization of the resort’s retail offerings which includes the September 2009 addition of The Jewelry Store, featuring luxury jewelry and watches.

Previously, Nikodemus served as Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations for Bellagio.  He joined MGM Resorts International in 2005 as Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations for MGM Grand Las Vegas and played a vital role in establishing the hotel as a AAA Four Diamond resort for the first time in its 13-year history (2007).  Additionally, Nikodemus oversaw operations of SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand, a AAA Five Diamond luxury hotel atop MGM Grand, and The Signature at MGM Grand, a AAA Four Diamond hotel offering personalized service in a tranquil setting. 

Prior to joining MGM Grand, Nikodemus served as Resort Manager for Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Fla. from 1999 to 2005.  During his time in Florida, he also served as President of the Palm Beach County Hotel & Motel Association and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach County Convention & Visitors Bureau.  His more than 28 years of hospitality industry experience has included management roles at some of Arizona’s top luxury hotels including The Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix and The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale. 

Nikodemus has served on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Arizona State University.
