Cheryl Kern

Director Global Diversity and Inclusion, International Paper ,  

Cheryl Kern is responsible for strategy development and implementation of IP’s global diversity and inclusion commitment which is part of IP’s goal of leveraging a diverse and inclusive workplace and workforce.  Cheryl is process owner for the company’s global engagement initiative, aligned through Talent Management’s Center of Expertise. She leads the company’s Supplier Diversity initiative through IP’s Diversity Enterprise Center.


Cheryl is active as an Advisory Board Member of Minorities and Women in Business and member of Diversity Best Practices Global Council, both located in Washington, DC. In the Memphis community, she sits on the Board of Directors of BRIDGES and the Mid -South Minority Business Council. 


Cheryl is a graduate of Western Michigan University, is married and she and Walt have two daughters.
