David Davidovic is Head of Business Practices at Genentech. He has almost 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics and biotechnology industries. Before joining Genentech, David spent a large part of his career with Merck & Co., where he served in many different capacities, most as recently as Executive Director of Marketing.
His career has included leadership positions in medical education, marketing, sales, business development and commercial operations in Canada, in the US and globally, and has had franchise responsibility for multiple therapeutic areas and a variety of strategic and operational functions. At Genentech, among other functions, he is responsible for assessing, guiding and implementing Commercial business practices and operations in support of Genentech's commercial efforts.
David is co-chair of Genentech’s Latino ERG, VIDA. He also served in leadership roles in Merck’s Hispanic Organization (MHO). David was born and grew up in Quito, Ecuador and holds a BS in physiology and an MBA in marketing/information systems, both from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He lives in San Francisco, CA.
