Deidra Jenkins is a Vice President at The Northern Trust Company, Chicago. She is Director of Supplier Diversity in the Strategic Sourcing Group. Deidra began her career with Northern Trust in 1989 and has served in a variety of critical roles throughout the organization in Operations, Client Servicing, and Product Management.
In June 2006, Deidra was appointed to the Supplier Diversity position. In this role, she is responsible for expanding the company’s business opportunities and strengthening corporate partnerships with minority and women owned business. Deidra works to ensure that the program’s strategy create a competitive advantage that increases Northern’s value, create wealth for their investors and builds the communities they serve.
Deidra is a board member of The Chicago Minority Business Development Center (CMBDC), Secretary of the Executive Committee of CMBDC, Chair of the Education and Training Committee of CMBDC, and certification committee member and Corporate Partner for the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC). Deidra earned a bachelor’s degree from Aurora University in Finance.
