Laura Swapp

Laura Swapp is a Senior Director, Diversity and Inclusion for McKesson Corporation. McKesson is a Fortune 15 company dedicated to delivering the vital medicines, supplies and information technologies that enable the health care industry to provide patients better, safer care. Laura is accountable for integration of diversity throughout the company’s business operations and workforce initiatives. She is currently helping launch Employee Resource Groups; evolve McKesson’s diversity and inclusion education and establish an external relations strategy.

Prior to her role at McKesson, Laura was a member of Starbucks’ HR Executive Committee where she served as the Global Director of Diversity and Inclusion and was responsible for leading an enterprise-wide strategy to build a more diverse, inclusive and accessible company.

Laura spent eight years at Catalyst, the premier nonprofit whose mission is to build inclusive work environments and expand opportunities for women at work. In her role as Senior Director, she worked in New York, Los Angeles and Seattle consulting to numerous Fortune 500 clients to build stronger, more diverse workforces.

Laura is a native Californian who received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from UCSD and her Masters in Applied Sociology from CSUSM.  She is the proud and harried mom of Marley, 11 and Grady, 7.
