Laurie Cooke

Laurie Cooke is the CEO of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), a nonprofit association with a network of over 20,000 women and 135 companies, dedicated to furthering the advancement and impact of women in healthcare worldwide. She was recognized in 2009 as PharmaVOICE 100 most inspiring people in the life sciences and received the prestigious Mentor of the Year award from the American Society of Association Executives. Prior to this, Laurie was on the executive management team at the Project Management Institute responsibility for strategy and execution of their products and several  pharmaceutical companies on international teams and mergers. She started her career as a pharmacist graduating with a degree in microbiology from U of MD, an advanced scientific degree in Pharmacy from U of WA, and a post-graduate professional qualification in Software Engineering Management from the U of Luton, England, is a licensed Pharmacist, and a Certified Association Executive.
