Lisa Tealer is a Senior Manager of Diversity & Inclusion at Genentech and chair of the company’s Diversity Council. She manages all 14 of Genentech’s ERGS across 3 sites. She has over 25 years of experience in the biotechnology industry. She spent over 15 years in a variety of technical and managerial positions. During that time she became a charter member and first chair of Genentech’s first ERG, African Americans in Biotechnology (AAIB). Lisa transition almost 10 years ago to Human Resources, where she partnered with colleagues and leaders to develop a Diversity in Action Plan to support Genentech’s diversity and inclusion strategies and initiatives focused on recruitment, retention and engagement.
Lisa serves on Genentech’s community grant committee for its South San Francisco site, which is responsible for reviewing and approving grants that support the company’s focus on Health Science Education, Patient Education & Advocacy and Community.
Lisa is a native of San Francisco, California. She holds a BA in Biology and a Diversity Management Certificate from the University of Houston, C. T. Bauer College of Business.
