In February 2000, María Valentin joined the newly developed ConAgra Foods Corporate Community Affairs Department. Under the direction of the Diversity and Inclusion department, Maria develops coordinates and implements events and programs in collaboration with local and national community leaders and organizations countrywide.
Ms. Valentin has more than 18 years of experience in community relations, management and volunteerism. Her community, state and national involvement includes: Board of Counselors member, University of Nebraska Medical Center; Corporate Advisory Board member of the Heartland Latino Leadership Conference; Board Member of the National Hispanic Corporate Council; Board member of Camp Fire USA, Corporate Advisory Member of the NCLR Corporate Board of Advisors and Class Representative of the 2008 Class - National Hispana Leadership Institute, Executive Training.
Ms. Valentin earned her bachelor’s degree from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico with a major in biology and minor in education.
