Co-Chair, Cisco Disabilities Awareness Network
Marilyn Carter is a Cisco senior manager responsible for enabling cross-organizational connections to support an improved experience for Cisco’s Channel Partners. Marilyn is also the Global Co-Chairperson for Cisco’s Disabilities Awareness Network (CDAN) and is a member of Cisco’s Research Triangle Park ERG leadership council.
Marilyn joined Cisco in 2000, and has held various leadership roles in Operations and IT and brings over 13 years' of experience in IT, Engineering and Manufacturing to Cisco. She is driven to raise the awareness for the challenges faced by Cisco's employees with disabilities through her experience living with a hearing impairment.
As Co-Chair for CDAN, Marilyn has focused efforts on building a global community of interest and on increasing the visibility of PWD and the positive impact they are having on Cisco’s business. Marilyn has brought a sense of enthusiasm to CDAN’s efforts across Cisco. Marilyn is a graduate of Duke University with an MS in Electrical Engineering, and holds a BSEE from the State University of New York.
