Mesha holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and has 25+ years of internal and external consulting experience within the HR and Marketing disciplines. Mesha’s focus is on organizational effectiveness with a focus on gap analysis, change management, strategic planning, organization restructure, training and development, talent and performance management, job readiness and diversity and inclusion. She has been instrumental in crafting relevant training for her clients inclusive of curriculum development and training facilitation across a number of key disciplines. Mesha has also spent a substantial amount of time in the diversity and inclusion space crafting strategic diversity plans, managing diversity circles, facilitating the activities of diversity councils, setting and measuring diversity targets, assisting in the creation and management of affinity groups, supporting affinity groups in setting strategic goals and action plans, reshaping workforce composition based on recruitment plans, engaging key diverse organizations in pipeline building and creating action plans based on data from employee workplace assessment data, facilitating a number of diversity and inclusion workshops as well as counseling leadership on diversity efforts. From a Workforce Development perspective, Mesha has served as a key facilitator on topics geared towards getting individuals work ready from interview skills, resume writing, effective negotiations, business etiquette, transitioning to corporate America, value of internships, effective mentoring to securing work during tough economic times.
In addition to serving as an HR professional, Mesha has a strong marketing background and manages a number of marketing communications projects. This background also affords her the opportunity to approach HR from a very customer-centered, problem/resolution and consultative perspective. Her overarching goal is to assess needs and put measures/programs in place to effect positive change in the work environment creating efficiencies and instituting best practices.
Mesha enjoyed a 10 year career with Verizon Communications and has work for such blue chip companies as General Motors, DuPont and Time Warner.
She considers her greatest accomplishment to be her daughter, Nya Elise Mott.
