Dr. Milton J. Bennett directs the Intercultural Development Research Institute (Portland, Oregon and Milano, Italy) and the IDRAcademy (www.idrinstitute.org), and he holds an adjunct faculty appointment in sociology at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy). He has been on the executive training faculty of Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, Smith College, Boeing Leadership Center, Motorola University, the Stockholm School of Economics, and Eni University. He currently is associated with the Global Leadership Program of Mesa Research Group (www.globalleadershipprogram.net). Dr. Bennett is known for originating the Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity and he is the co-author of American Cultural Pattern: A Cross-Cultural Approach, contributing editor of Basic Concepts of Intercultural Communication, published in English, Italian, and Chinese (pending), and a contributing co-editor of the Handbook of Intercultural Training, 3rd Edition (also translated into Chinese). He consults with corporate and academic organizations in Europe, Asia, and the US on topics of multicultural diversity, intercultural competence, and global leadership.
