Missy Chicre manages Best Buy’s corporate affinity groups and transformational learning & training programs, as well as partners with Best Buy employees around the country to develop unique solutions to meet their diversity & inclusion needs. In her role, Missy works closely with the Executive Sponsor Team to drive diversity accountability and support the affinity group goals. She also manages the company’s Memphis Cultural Immersion Program, a three day diversity leadership development program, and will be developing more cultural competency programs. Prior to joining Best Buy, Missy worked as a Change Management Consultant at Accenture, learning how to create transformational change in organizational culture.
Missy is bilingual in English and Spanish, and spent much of her life dedicated to the study of Hispanic culture, literature and language. Missy earned a master’s degree in Hispanic Literature at the University of Minnesota, was a Spanish major as an undergraduate at Vanderbilt University and lived abroad in Argentina. Missy has presented papers & research at multiple conferences and has participated in three service learning trips in Hispanic communities in both the United States and Mexico.
