Orlan Boston is a Principal in Deloitte Consulting’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Human Capital practices with over 12 years of experience in Management Consulting where he focuses on helping organizations improve business performance through strategic, human, structural, business process, technology and transformational changes. His diverse background includes extensive Program Management, Strategy and Operations, Human Resources and Performance, Organizational Effectiveness, and Change Leadership consulting experience across a variety of industries as well as entrepreneurial start-up experience. As a part of Deloitte’s National Mergers, Acquisitions, & Restructuring leadership team, he co-leads the Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical M&A practice and has consulted on multiple large global complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings in this space. His industry experience predominantly resides in life sciences, medical devices, healthcare and media, along with additional experience in consumer, financial services, manufacturing, high technology, telecommunications, insurance, public sector, and professional services.
In addition to his client service responsibilities, Orlan is a leader in Deloitte’s Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. He is a member of Deloitte Consulting’s D&I Council and the acting National Human Capital Service Area Diversity & Inclusion Leader supporting over 1500 employees nationwide. He has served as the Human Capital Service Area Partner Sponsor for both the National Black MBA and National Society of Hispanic MBA Conferences for over 4 years and is an active leader in Deloitte’s African American, Hispanic, and LGBT Business Resource Groups. Orlan also serves as the National GLOBE (LGBT Business Resource Group) Leader for Deloitte and is responsible for outreach to LGBT employees and external strategic partners such as HRC, GLAAD, Reaching Out MBA Conference, and Out & Equal. He is a member of the New York LGBT Center Board of Directors.
He holds a B.S. in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
