Orlando Ashford is senior vice president and chief human resources officer of Marsh and McLennan Companies (MMC) serving as the lead employee advocate for 54,000 employees in over 90 countries. He and his team provide leadership on all aspects of Human Resources including talent management, diversity, total rewards and HR operations as well as the global employee communications function. He has significant experience in corporate culture change and organizational transformation and is currently leading the reenergizing of the employee brand for MMC in parallel with its operating companies. Prior to MMC, Mr. Ashford worked with Coca-Cola Company as group director of human resources for Eurasia and Africa. In this role, he reorganized and rebuilt the company’s corporate center HR team and headed a company-wide cultural change initiative. Mr. Ashford has served as vice president, global strategy and organizational development for Motorola, Inc.; partner with Mercer Delta Consulting Group LLC (New York, NY), a management consulting firm which provides services related to the management of strategic level organizational change; and director of organizational development and performance for Ameritech (Hoffman Estates, IL). Mr. Ashford is a member of ELC (Executive Leadership Council) and holds a BS in organizational leadership and an MS in industrial technology both from Purdue University.
