Sigrid Senamaud, Assistant Vice President of Conferences for Diversity Bes

Sigrid Senamaud is the Assistant Vice President of Conferences for Diversity Best Practices and Working Mother Media. In this role, she is responsible for global initiatives, which include developing workshops and flagship conferences tailored to specific cultures and countries, such as the CEO Diversity Leadership program, CEO roundtables, and the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Summit & Gala. Sigrid works to develop a platform of current program content for senior diversity professionals representing Fortune 500 companies on a national and global level. Sigrid also manages the nomination process of Diversity Best Practices’ CEO Diversity Leadership, DOLA and Legacy awards.

Prior to joining Diversity Best Practices in 2003, Sigrid accumulated 12 years of national and international experience in public relations, community outreach, external communication campaigns and program development for non-profit, corporate and academic institutions. She was instrumental in the strategic launches of businesses, public relations campaigns and fundraising programs at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center and the David Driskell Center for the African Diaspora, both housed at the University of Maryland; the American Business Center at Check Point Charlie and Humboldt University, both located in Berlin, Germany; and the Oregon Symphony. Her work has taken her to Spain, Malaysia, India, South Africa, Brazil, France, Germany, China and Central America, giving her valuable insight into and experience with various cultures and business approaches applied in today’s global economy.

Sigrid holds a Bachelors degree in International Relations from Syracuse University and a Masters degree in Social Urban Studies from the Berlin Humboldt University. As a German native, she resides with her husband and daughter in Washington, DC.
