Subarna Malakar

Subarna Malakar is Director of Employee Network Groups at Sodexo, the leading global provider of food and facilities management. In his current role he is responsible for advancing Sodexo’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy by providing direction, input and strategic guidance to Sodexo’s eight Employee Network Groups. Subarna is also responsible for overall programming management for Diversity Business Leadership Summit, a premier diversity event for Sodexo.
Subarna has worked with Sodexo’s Information Systems and Technology Department since 1998, providing technology and project management support for Corporate and Government Services. Subarna was also an integral part of the national leadership team for PANG (Pan Asian Network Group). Prior to joining Sodexo, Subarna worked as a systems engineer for the Department of Defense and a computer intelligence specialist for the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm.
Subarna holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland and is a certified Project Manager Professional from Project Management Institute. Subarna is a native of Nepal and he currently lives with his wife in Mclean, VA.
