Teresa Solorzano DeBar

With over ten years of experience at Cisco Systems in a variety of roles in the Human Resources field, Teresa Solorzano DeBar is currently providing HR Business Partnership to the IT Organization.  In addition to client engagements in organizational development, she is also responsible for the design and development of leadership programs across IT including Succession Planning and the IT Leadership Cohort Program.

Teresa is the President of Conexión, a global Latino Employee Resource Group focused on serving Cisco’s business community through volunteer commitments in customer intimacy, talent pipeline development and employee engagement.

In 2008, Teresa held the role of an Executive Recruiter responsible for identifying and on-boarding executive talent in IT, Finance and Corporate Communications.  Prior to this, she spent six years in Cisco’s Leadership Development organization, where she led program design and implementation in the areas of Career Development and Leadership Development. She also spent two years providing Professional Recruiting Support to the Manufacturing Organization.

Before joining Cisco in 1999, Teresa’s experience included five years as a Professional Recruiter specializing in the technology sector with companies in the Silicon Valley.  She holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Resources with a specialization in Leadership Development.  She is qualified in a variety of personality assessment including MBTI and InterStrength.
